This is what customers say about Physics Literacy for Kids

Dr. Samadani and her Physics Literacy for Kids program has been invaluable for my 9 year old son who has special interests in math and physics. His brick and mortar school can’t teach these subjects at his level and I honestly don’t know what we would do without her. Her classes and this text makes physics and the accompanying math accessible for kids and adults alike. My husband “audits” her class so he can help our son with follow up work throughout the week and even he feels like he’s learning so much from her. I wish I had been able to take classes from someone like her while I was in school! I am thrilled that she is part of my son educational team, and I will quite literally buy anything that she produces.

Emmett and Mai have been taking physics literacy for kids for over a year now and absolutely love it. It’s amazing how much they have learned and how excited they are to do physics. Truly worth it if you’re considering a physics book and if you are considering her live physics classes. The class size allows for everyone’s questions to be answered and she is great at trying to include everyone in the discussion to make sure everyone understands the concepts being taught. Kinematics was the first thing they had learned and honestly I don’t think that I had covered free body diagrams in school but am so glad they got to have a better understanding than I did. You also can’t beat being taught physics from a physicist. She is the best!

Physics Literacy for Kids, taught by Dr. Azadeh, is an incredible class. My daughter is 11 and has been learning high level physics on a conceptual level with Dr. Azadeh for almost a year now. Dr. Azadeh is an amazing teacher. She is able to distill very complex topics and explain them in ways the kids in her class can understand. Dr. Azadeh’s small online class format, and her patience and willingness to engage each student leads to a lot of engagement and encouragement. Every student is seen and heard, and she gently brings all of the kids into the discussion.

Even though it is an online class, Dr. Azadeh also provides completely optional opportunities for learning outside of class time. Every week she sends out a recording of the class, which is especially helpful for my daughter to review each week, along with a list of resources and videos, and experiment suggestions. My daughter and her cousin have had a blast doing the experiments together and sharing them with the class. Along with all of that, Dr. Azadeh’s book has been an invaluable tool in helping further my daughter’s knowledge and understanding of kinematics. Having an extra resource beyond what my daughter learned in class was so helpful to really cement her understanding of the topics they discussed. physicsliteracyforkids

I have to wholeheartedly agree with the author of this workbook that, indeed, kids *can* learn physics at a young age and do not have to wait until high school or beyond to understand the concepts of physics (even if they do not yet have the math skills to do the calculations). My child (10 years old) has taken two quarters of the Conceptual Newtonian Physics class with Azadeh Samadani online this school year and is about to embark on a third quarter with Azadeh learning Conceptual Quantum Physics! As an engineering major who had taken the pre-requisite Physics class at UCLA, I am mind-blown at how much my daughter has learned from Azadeh in such a short period of time! I dare say she's been introduced to every topic I've learned (sans the formulas and calculations) in my first year college physics class, maybe even learned some stuff I haven't learned (I don't recall ever using free body diagrams), and now she's about to learn quantum physics - at 10 years old! She is so excited! Azadeh makes physics fun and relatable for the kids, and they truly get it.

I highly encourage everyone who's able to enroll their child(ren) in Azadeh Samadani's online physics classes for kids to do so. The online sessions are so accessible, and the classes are small enough that every child can be engaged and participate. If enrolling in her classes is not possible, this workbook on kinematics, which my child has completed and now I'm buying an extra copy to gift, will teach your child more than the typical middle school physics class, if one is offered at all. There is very little math involved so the kids can focus on understanding the concepts without getting bogged down with formulas and numbers. I truly feel that if I had this workbook when I was a child, physics would have made so much more sense to me in college!

My son has been taking Dr Samadani's class for a couple of months and it has been the highlight of our school year. He just turned nine, but she has been able to take concepts in physics that have fascinated him for many years and bring them to life. He has learned a tremendous amount and now has a formal framework to explore his hitherto informal science interests. This book has been incredibly easy for him to use, and he loves trying out the questions after his classes. One way I know her teaching is excellent is because I have not been involved with his learning at all (although I used to love physics) and he has managed to do very well on assessments showing she is truly helping her students understand the material she is taking them through. I truly recommend both the classes and the books for children who are attracted by the abstract forces in our world.
